Will Kingsway Solar Farm Protect Our Local Villages? Resident Speaks Out!

As with all ‘green energy solutions’, the proposed Kingsway Solar Farm development is a topic of heated debate. In this eye-opening BBC Look East interview, a resident of one of the affected villages shares his perspective on what this project means for our future.

As someone deeply connected to the land and local life, he doesn’t oppose progress—but he insists that any change must be thoughtful. His powerful message? If this project moves forward, it must genuinely consider the impact on our local ecology, the amenities we all rely on, and the voices of the communities it will touch. Watch the video to hear his full argument and see why this issue matters to all of us. (Fill out THIS form to have your say!)

Kingsway Solar Community Action is not anti-solar. Our goal is to provide clear, objective information to support informed community engagement with Kingsway Solar, through the consultation process and beyond. Building new renewable energy infrastructure will be central to meeting the UK’s ambitious climate goals, but industrial-scale projects like this one can have a profound and long lasting impact on our landscape and quality of life. Safeguarding our community’s interests is vital.

  1. We are residents of Brinkley and are very concerned about the use of very good land for solar. We need all the land to help feed ourselves without it being used for this purpose. Its the wrong use in our opinion. This is a rural area and we understand that if this goes ahead the land will then be classed as industrial.
